The Solo Spin is a new take on a classic concept that many have forgotten, but never stopped working RIDICULOUSLY WELL in all conditions and seasons... especially for giant Smallmouth Bass.
Are your fish scattered and not apparently following the "rules"? Seem like your "bite window" has closed? This rig is designed to be fished in any of many ways. Fast, slow, up high, down low and everywhere in between. Pair it with your favorite jig and plastic to make BOMB casts and cover vast expanses of water.
Especially effective as a search bait for open-water roamers, we strongly recommend you challenge your comfort zones as an angler.. try using a heavier jig than you would for the given depth and a smaller plastic than you normally would reach for. Bomb that thing out, let it hit bottom and BURN it back.. adjust your weight and speed so you're just ticking bottom and just you wait and see what happens, when you thought they just "weren't biting". You may be surprised, but will not be disappointed.
Virtually indestructible, the Solo Spin is very simply a classic safety pin style of spinnerbait, allowing the angler to choose to pair it with their favorite jig or jighead and plastic. Built on 150# Seaguar Blue Label Flourocarbon with a single size 3 Willow leaf blade attached by our hamdmade clevis-style swivel and a stout 50# VMC DuoLock snap, your Solo Spin will outlive you, as long as you don't bust it off first.
Like the Quad Hover, the Solo Spin is equally at home on your ML fairy wand and 6 pound flouro, as it is on a true beefstick with a giant soft bait behind it.
We encourage experimentation and doubt you will find its application limits.
*Note: Like the Quad Hover, we have elected to minimize hardware to keep your Solo Spin looking as natural and subtle as possible, so there is no ring or swivel included as a line tie. If you are using braided line, tie on a snap or snap swivel and attach your Solo Spin to that. You're good to go with Flouro/Mono/Copoly. Wet your knot well.
